What direct distribution means
ALBA is not currently distributed through Google Play. The official APK is hosted on this website, signed with ALBA's long-term Android certificate, and can be updated in place by a later release signed with the same certificate.
Android may display an extra installation warning for apps from outside a store. That is expected. Download only from alba.acewu.com, leave Play Protect enabled, and compare the SHA-256 value if you want to verify the exact file.

Is the Android edition really free?
Yes. The Android Launch Edition includes the complete current feature set at no charge and does not show ads.
Which APK should I choose?
Choose the 64-bit Android build first; it fits almost every current phone and is smaller. Use the 32/64-bit ARM build if your device reports that the first APK is incompatible.
Will installing an update erase my vault?
A correctly signed update installs over the existing app and should retain app data. Never uninstall as an update step, and keep an independent encrypted backup of important files.
Can ALBA save every video website?
No. Compatibility depends on the source, format, authorization, and technical protection. Save only media you own or are explicitly allowed to keep.
